The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) has established the definitive list with the numbering and the polling stations for the 2020 Local Elections. Thus, 18,794 polling stations were organized for the election on September 27, 2020. In the 2020 Local Elections, the Citizens can know the electoral college where they are assigned and their address in the Electoral Registry.
The electoral register is a national computerized system in which the data of all Romanian citizens who acquire the right to vote on their 18th birthday are permanently recorded. The Electoral Register also contains information on the vote of citizens with the right to vote in the polling stations, as well as their addresses.

How to find out which polling station you are assigned to and its address
In the 2020 local elections, you can find the electoral college you are voting for and its address registrulectoral.ro. Three fields are required:
- CNP – personal numeric code
- Last name
- The verification code you see on the site.
The electoral register is administered by the Permanent Electoral Authority and includes all Romanian citizens who have reached the age of 18, thus obtaining the right to vote. The mayors have the responsibility of operating this computer system for the registration and updating of the identification data of the voters and the information on their rounding in the polling stations.

Thus, situations in which voters are omitted from electoral rolls, are wrongly rounded in polling stations, or are not radiated as a consequence of the prohibition of electoral rights can be resolved operationally. The mayors print the permanent electoral lists and the copies of them that the voters contain directly from the Electoral Registry.
The electoral roll is structured in counties, municipalities, cities, communes and contains two sections: a public section, intended for voter access to information, and a private section, intended for public institutions.
The electoral roll is permanently updated by adding voters who have reached 18 years of age, acquired Romanian citizenship and whose suspension of the exercise of electoral rights has ceased and, due to the loss of deceased voters, lost their Romanian citizenship, who were prohibited from exercising electoral rights or have been banned by a court.
18,794 polling stations in the 2020 local elections
The decision of the Permanent Electoral Authority on the numbering of the polling stations organized in Romanian territory on the occasion of the 2020 Local Elections, as of September 27, was published in the Official Gazette on September 16.
According to a statement from the AEP, the annex to this normative act includes the final form of numbering, as well as the headquarters of the 18,794 polling stations organized nationwide.
