We could have completed this goal much faster but, for ten years, it was blocked in court by a gentleman who has his house near the Ciurel bridge, a house that still exists today and was not affected at all, co-founder of Save the Bucharest Union, very good friend of Mr. Nicușor Dan. Together they made several appeals before the courts, attacking both the building license and the PUZ sector ”.
Gabriela Firea stated that the first stage, the Node de la Virtud, is already finished and includes the hobanat bridge, the three overpasses and the nine traffic lanes, and the effects on the traffic flow in the western part of the Capital are appreciated .
“As soon as possible, we will begin work on the second stage of the project, approved since May, a fast track to the Ring Road, with two lanes in each direction. For this, we have already approved the expropriation corridor, we have signed the contract with the association of builders Max Boegl – Astaldi – Euroconstruct, and the money is registered, approximately 50 million lei for the expropriations in the area, around 20 buildings ” .
The infrastructure councilor, Marius Coaje, explained, in turn, that a new stage follows after the crossing with the Capital Beltway. “Once the second stage is finished, when the expressway reaches the Capital Beltway, work will begin to build a connecting road between the Capital Beltway and the A1 highway.”
Prime Minister Ludovic Orban said on Monday that the bridge is useless because the connection between the A1 motorway and Splaiul Independen wasei was not built.
