In this context, Liviu Dragnea used her own conviction to convince the judges to declare the election of Viorica Dăncilă to lead the party illegal.
It says that PSD Teleorman caused damage to the Directorate for the Protection of Minors, due to the fact that the two employees of the institution actually worked for the party, so the PSD Teleorman organization should be dissolved.
The court rejected an application to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), but referred to the CCR with an exception raised by the former politician.
The decision of the magistrates can be appealed.

What else did Liviu Dragnea ask for?
The trial was opened in 2019, in the Teleorman Court. Liviu Dragnea claims that the abolition of PSD Teleorman, in a true ripple effect, could lead to the abolition of the entire PSD.
According to documents submitted from prison, Liviu Dragnea wants the judges to find out the wrongful acts committed by PSD when her personal data was processed by the two secretaries of the PSD, fictitiously employed at Teleorman Child Protection, Adriana Botorogeanu and Anisa Stoica.
Dragnea also demands that PSD pay the damages withheld by the High Court in this case, in the amount of 83,650 lei (almost 18,000 euros).
