Prime Minister Ludovic Orban announced on Monday that a decision will be made this week on whether people returning from abroad will no longer have to remain in solitary confinement for 14 days if they present a negative COVID test.
“We have been waiting because there is a debate at the EU level because they are trying to adopt common measures. This week we will analyze the evolutions in each country and decide at CNSU if we will give the possibility of using the test method. That is, to replace the 14-day quarantine period if a negative test is performed. We are in talks and during this week we will make a decision ”, declared the prime minister.

Ludovic Orban also announced that the internal measures remain in force. Although Romania has set new records for coronavirus infections, the prime minister said that “it is not growth that concerns us.”
As for the internal measures, they are those that are in force. They are established according to the level of spread. We have established the criteria from which different measures can be taken. According to our analysis, even if we had a slight increase, it is not an increase that would worry us, ”the prime minister also declared.
