The protests attended by several dozen people took place on Saturday night in some cities of the country such as Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Oradea, the participants demanded that the protective mask is no longer mandatory in schools, reports Agerpres. A similar demonstration, which was attended by several hundred people, took place in Bucharest on Saturday.
TIMISOARA
Dozens of parents and children protested in Timisoara’s Victoriei Square on Saturday and gathered signatures for a petition they want to present to the Minister of Education.
“We came to this situation to express our disapproval (for wearing a mask, no). If necessary, we will raise our voices until we become vehement and radical and we will be heard where we need to be, ”said the speakers.
They consider that the use of the protective anti-COVID mask has a negative impact on the little ones, being deprived of their freedom and claiming that they want their opinion respected.
This is the second demonstration of protest against the obligation to wear a protective mask in schools in Timisoara, the first taking place at the beginning of the week.
Cluj-Napoca
Some 30-40 people protested in central Cluj-Napoca on Saturday against the use of protective masks in schools by students.
The gendarmes tried to disperse the protesters claiming that they were not allowed to act, did not wear masks and did not respect physical distance.
“The little ones cannot learn. It is a parody, a shitty school in these conditions. See the response of the system to our small initiative. There were at least as many policemen as us, and that always,” said one of the protesters.
Among others, the protesters chanted “Christ is risen” and “Eternal memory.”
CITY OF ORADEA
A protest of this type was called on social networks for Saturday night and in Oradea, on the plateau in front of the House of Culture of the Trade Unions, the number of those who participated in the action was about 20-30 people. No incidents were reported.
MANGALIA
Also in Mangalia people protested. They went out to the streets unhappy that the little ones had to wear a mask to go to school. Police say 80 people attended the rally. Law enforcement officials even used tear gas at one point because a man did not want to identify himself and several protesters came to his aid. Here are the images:
