The heads of the Romanian Gendarmerie will be called to the DNA, next week, as suspects, according to information obtained by Digi24..

The file was opened by DNA after a notification made by the Control Body of the Ministry of the Interior.

In July, checks were carried out at the Romanian Gendarmerie, finding that the director of this institution, Colonel Bogdan Enescu, but also two former chiefs, Colonel Ionuț Cătălin Sindile and General Constantin Florea, had illegally approved hundreds of overtime hours, in a state of emergency, and would have illegally collected tens of thousands of lei.

Only the head of the Gendarmerie would have illegally approved 900 additional hours of work, the damage being about 40,000 lei. He would have approved overtime in the case of the two subordinates.

According to Digi24 sources, the damage is about 80,000 lei.

The three will be summoned to ADN next week to be heard in the event that the accusation is of usurpation of the position.

Colonel Bogdan Enescu was appointed in December 2019, and Interior Minister Marcel Vela classified him as “a man without blemish” and is not related to the August 10 demonstration.
