It’s a shame in Spain, after various restrictions were imposed in the fight against the pandemic.
The region of the Spanish capital, Madrid, will restrict mobility as of Monday, September 21 in 37 areas of the same that are the most affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
The inhabitants of these areas, a total of 855,193 people, will be able to leave their home only to make essential purchases, go to work, receive medical assistance or comply with legal or educational obligations. Both public and private gatherings, which are currently allowed for up to ten people, will also be limited to a maximum of six people.
A Romanian woman who has lived there for more than 10 years told Dc News about the difficult situation in Spain.
“I’m actually tired. I no longer have the strength to fight because I feel like I am fighting the windmills. Although we were severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic, in recent weeks it had gained the courage to come to light. But again we were surprised by the news that we would be incarcerated. Because that is what is happening. We are no longer allowed to do anything because the people here have stubbornly refused to listen, but to do their thing. Although I have been in Spain for more than 10 years, it has never been so difficult. I have a son to raise, I am afraid of everything to come. I miss my mother, she always cries on the phone. In the neighborhood where we live, people are very unhappy with how the authorities acted, every day someone insults the political class, ”the Romanian told DC NEWS.
According to El País, Madrid reported 1,553 cases of coronavirus on Friday. The Intensive Care Units are occupied at 64% of their capacity. 33 people have died from the virus in the last 24 hours, 144 in the last week.
