To date, on September 17, in the territory of Romania, 108,690 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

Data on the number of people declared cured is currently not available due to technical updates in the reporting system and the data centralization application. These data will be communicated as soon as possible as soon as they are available.

As a result of the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 1,679 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

Aside from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 478 people were positively reconfirmed.

Between 16.09.2020 (10:00) and 17.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 27 deaths (18 men and 9 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Călărași, Dâmbovița, Galați, Harghita, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Olt, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Timiicip, Vasrestlui.

The Health Minister affirms that Romania will receive a vaccine against Covid-19 in the first quarter of next year

Health Minister Nelu Tătaru stated that Romania could benefit from a Covid vaccine in the first quarter of next year, but, until then, Romanians must respect the rules.
