Coup in the Romanian Parliament on the increase in pensions. At the request of the PSD, the parliamentarians of the Budget Commissions repealed, on Wednesday, the article of the budget rectification according to which the pension point is increased by 14%. After this decision, the law of the public pension system is still in force, which provides for its increase by 40%.
Pensions are no longer just 14% higher
The article on increasing the pension point by 14% is repealed. The parliamentarians decided “to maintain the value of the pension point, as established by law. Respectively for a value of 1,775 lei. The reason invoked was the purpose of maintaining the calendar on the increase of the pension point until the entry into force in its entirety of the law of the public pension system ”.
What else did the commissions decide?
The commissions also adopted an amendment, also proposed by PSD. Thus, the amounts distributed to the UATs are increased by one billion lei. An additional 500 million lei is allocated for county-head municipalities. The funds will be distributed equitably, regardless of the political color of the local administration.
Money for the endowment of parliamentary offices in the territory.
According to another adopted amendment, the commissions allocated an additional 5.635 million lei in the budget of the Chamber of Deputies. The money will be used to buy the equipment needed to equip the parliamentary offices in the territory, when the legislature changes.
The MPs also allocated an additional 67 million lei for the Ministry of Agriculture. It will be used to finance the Program for the implementation of the national system against hail and to increase rainfall.
The commissions have decided to increase the basic salaries of teachers, as established by law, that is, starting this year, according to agerpres.ro.
