CORONAVIRUS in Romania. Balance Sheet September 16
To date, 4,285 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 15.09.2020 (10:00) – 16.09.2020 (10:00) there were 49 deaths (33 men and 16 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Brăila, Buzău, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Dolj, Galaţi, Gorj, Hunedoara, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Neamţ, Prahova, Sălaj, Suceava, Tulcea, Vasluiresta, Vrance.
Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 4 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 16 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 15 deaths in the age category 70 -79 years and 11 deaths in the category over 80 years.
All 49 deaths were in patients with comorbidities.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 6,854. Of these, 471 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 2,136,544 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 25,991 were performed in the last 24 hours, 16,542 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,449 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 529 tests processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until September 16 have been reported.
In Romania, 11,164 people who were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home and 5,782 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 37,206 people are in home quarantine and 8 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 1 in the category 40 to 49 years, 6 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the age category from 60 to 69 years old. years, 14 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 14 deaths in the category over 80 years.
49 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported to date.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 6,881. Of these, 460 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 2,110,024 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 21,049 were performed in the last 24 hours, 12,767 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 8,327 upon request.
In Romania, 10,879 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 5,748 people are institutionalized. In addition, 37,014 people are in home quarantine and 5 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 1,032 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 691 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.
