Metrorex had announced this Sunday that the procedures for the commissioning of the M5 Drumul Taberei metro line are underway and these consist of configuring the systems from the test phase to the operation phase for road safety facilities and passenger information, cargo, closed circuit television and communications
Previously, the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Communications announced that the members of the Central Reception Commission at the end of the works on the M5 bus and those of the Commissioning Commission (PIF) signed the minutes after which this bus of the metro may be operating and, at the same time, in passenger traffic.
“After completing all the administrative procedures, which remain to be carried out by the beneficiary, we will establish the moment when the metro can be put into operation with the passengers. Now we are in a situation where I can say with certainty that soon the people of Bucharest will be able to use the most anticipated means of transport in this area, namely the metro on the Taberei highway ”, declared the corresponding minister, Lucian Bode. As reported by Metrorex this Sunday, the spaces are currently being delivered-received by the manufacturer to the Metrorex teams that will ensure with the 900 employees the operation and maintenance in three shifts for all specialties, including commercial and rail service. .
Another necessary activity consists of the transfer of the security objectives in stations and interstates, from the security companies of the constructors to those that have a contract with Metrorex. Likewise, all public spaces are assigned by the manufacturer’s cleaning companies to those hired by Metrorex. For the inauguration of the M5 metro line, the latest activity consists of replacing the trains used for the tests with those prepared in the depot for passenger traffic, states Metrorex. It is also necessary to configure the loading system that allows access with cash and bank card to the turnstiles. The operations of transport of values and supply of ATMs and vending machines are carried out with transport titles and cash for sale. At the same time, the protection of values at each station is achieved both through anti-theft alarm systems and with personnel. The POS terminals are acquired by the bank that provides technical support and are in the configuration process so that the sale is available in addition to cash and bank card at the ATM. At the vending machines, cards can be paid for in cash. Payment by bank card will be implemented as soon as possible together with the supporting bank. It is necessary to achieve a stable communication solution that involves both the configuration and the installation of equipment and encryption keys. Metrorex informs that it is also concerned with securing the GSM signal to ensure the facilities and comforts that this service offers to all users. Thus, during this period, the mobile phone operators have completed the installation of the underground communication networks and are executing the last adjustments of the equipment for the optimal coverage in terms of the voice and data communication signal for the subway passengers. .
