The Transport Ministry announced on Friday afternoon that the two minutes had been signed, after which the M5 Drumul Taberei metro line could be put into operation, without specifying when it will be done.
“After completing all the administrative procedures, which remain to be carried out by the beneficiary, we will establish the moment when the subway can be put into operation with passengers,” said Minister Lucian Bode.
The Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Communications shows, in a press release sent out on Friday night and entitled “After years and years of waiting, the epic of the M5 Drumul Taberei metro line is over!” Members of the Central Reception Commission at the end of the M5 works and those of the Commissioning Commission (PIF) signed the act after which this metro line can be put into operation and, at the same time, in the traffic of Travellers.

“Today, the two minutes were signed by the specialized commissions, that is, the reception at the end of the works and the start-up (PIF) of this objective. Once all the administrative procedures have been completed, which remain to be carried out by the beneficiary, we will establish the schedule in which the metro can be put into operation with passengers. Now we find ourselves in a situation where I can say with certainty that soon the inhabitants of Bucharest will be able to use the most anticipated means of transport in this area, namely the Camp road metro. It was a titanic job, started from the first day of my mandate as minister, to be able to offer the people of Bucharest, the Drumul Taberei area and not only, what they had been waiting for for so many years. I thank everyone who made it possible for us to achieve this extremely happy result for the people of Bucharest today, ”said Transport Minister Lucian Bode, quoted in the statement.
Also on Friday, the Minister of Transport, Lucian Bode, declared, asked if the section of the Drumul Taberei metro will be inaugurated on Saturday, that in the second part of Friday the date and time will be known when the M5 bus will be delivered to traffic .
