Health Minister Nelu Tataru called for an internal investigation after press reported that the ministry hired a 24-year-old singer to monitor regional hospitals, according to Newsweek.
Codruța Elena Filip was hired without competition for the position of junior counselor in the Department of Monitoring, Implementation of Regional Hospitals of the Ministry of Health, after an interview in which she obtained a score of 89.33, wrote the cited source.
The young woman also mentioned on her Facebook account, which she later blocked, that she works at the Ministry of Health, and her boyfriend published a photo with his service card.
She was allegedly employed in the Ministry, taking advantage of the Order signed by Nelu Tătaru in May, which approved “the methodology to fill, without competition, the vacancies within the Ministry of Health, for a specified period, in the context of establishing the state of alert in the territory of Romania ”.
Following the information published by Newsweek, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Oana Grigore, transmitted that “within the institution there is no employee with the name specified in the article.” However, the Minister of Health requested an internal investigation.
