Romania exceeds 100,000 diseases. Slight increase in the number of new cases. In ATI there are 478 patients with COVID-19

In the last 24 hours, 1,391 new cases of COVID-19 were reported out of 26,149 tests performed. Romania has exceeded 100,000 illnesses since the start of the pandemic. Another 35 deaths have been confirmed in people infected with the new coronavirus, while 478 patients are admitted to intensive care.

To date, on September 11, in Romania, 101,075 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

* Data on patients declared cured and asymptomatic patients discharged 10 days after detection are not available at this time due to technical changes in the data centralization application. These figures will be communicated immediately after they are available.

After tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1,391 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 534 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 4,100 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 10.09.2020 (10:00) – 11.09.2020 (10:00) there were 35 deaths (25 men and 10 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bihor, Bistrița- Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Timiș, Bucharest, Vaslui.

Of these, 4 deaths were recorded in the age group 50 to 59 years, 6 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 12 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years, and 13 deaths in the age group age over 80 years.

34 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,125. Of these, 478 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,041,921 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 26,149 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14,415 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 11,734 upon request.

In Romania, 10,772 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 5,754 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 33,129 people are in home quarantine and 12 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,051 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 508 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 651 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 172,100 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 2 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified matters.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,599 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece , 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
