The number of coronavirus infections is increasing. Romania approaches 100,000 COVID-19 cases

In the last 24 hours, 1,380 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, of the 25,185 tests carried out. It is the highest number of infections reported this week. Another 47 deaths have been reported due to coronavirus infections, while 459 patients are admitted to intensive care.

To date, on September 10, in Romania, 99,684 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

41,010 patients were declared cured and 12,568 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection (* the figures of cured and asymptomatic discharged patients are being updated as a result of technical changes in the data centralization application).

Following tests conducted nationwide, compared to the last report, 1,380 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 760 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 4,065 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 09.09.2020 (10:00) – 10.09.2020 (10:00) there were 47 deaths (25 men and 22 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița – Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Constanța, Covasna, Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinți, Neamț, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category of 30 to 39 years, 1 death in the age category of 40 to 49 years, 6 deaths in the age category of 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the category of age 60 to 69 years, 15 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 9 deaths in the category over 80 years.

45 of the registered deaths were of patients who presented comorbidities and 2 deceased patients did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,133. Of these, 459 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date 2,015,772 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 25,185 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14,940 based on case definition and medical protocol and 10,245 on request.

In Romania, 10,370 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 5,940 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 35,488 people are in home quarantine and 12 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,016 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 592 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 724 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 125,790 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday a crime was found for frustrating the fight against diseases, a fact provided and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified matters.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,599 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece , 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
