The leader of Pro Romania, Victor Ponta, announced on Facebook that he does not have COVID-19, following the negative result of the test carried out “this morning”. He says it is “a big mess, the purely political campaign through which some tried to prevent me from going around the country and supporting the PRO Romania candidates.” Ponta had contacted Robert Negoiță, who said he had COVID.
“I received the negative result of the Covid 19 test performed this morning / I am happy for my family, friends and all those with whom I was in contact during this period / I pray that God keeps us all healthy!

Víctor Ponta again challenged the organization of the elections during this period.
“1. The electoral campaign and the current electoral process put us all in great danger and obviously it is not necessary at all / we have to go to work / children have to go to school / economic and social life has to continue / but we could and can make decisions when the health situation is safe / so we add a risk and the absolutely unnecessary burden for the health system, for some short-lived votes and, in many cases, irrelevant!
2. The Romanian government, intentionally and programmed, refuses to increase the testing capacity in the public system (or to liquidate 100% of the tests in the private system) / Romania a day ago in the public system 10% of the tests carried out in Italy, Spain or France (for a population of almost half or a third of these countries, respectively) / the amount owed in the private system (not resolved by the government) discourages people from taking the tests, which which leads to the situation where Romania ranked first in the number of positive people compared to those tested!
3. Thousands of people will be contaminated and many will lose their lives due to the worst local elections (at the same time as the opening of schools) / those who escape healthy start the campaign and the procedures for the December Parliamentary Elections from 15 December October!
