Romania has more than 95,000 coronavirus infections. The infection rate in the last 24 hours is greater than 12%.

In the last 24 hours, 883 new cases of COVID-19 were registered from only 7,247 tests carried out. Another 33 deaths were reported due to coronavirus infections, while 465 people are still hospitalized for intensive care.

To date, on September 7, in Romania, 95,897 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

40,454 patients were declared cured and 12,339 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 883 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Aside from the newly confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 239 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 3,926 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 06.09.2020 (10:00) – 07.09.2020 (10:00) there were 33 deaths (24 men and 9 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Brăila, Caraș-Severin, Dâmbovița, Galați, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Timiș, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 2 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 6 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 7 deaths in the age category age 70-79 years and 17 deaths over 80 years.

All 33 deaths were due to comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,325. Of these, 465 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 1,945,738 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 7,247 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 4,613 according to case definition and medical protocol and 2,634 on request.

In Romania, 10,100 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 6,115 people are institutionally isolated. Additionally, 33,865 people are in home quarantine and 45 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 546 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 968 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 201,025 lei.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,599 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece , 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
