Cristian Tudor Popescu says that the traffic incident in which the Minister of Transport, Lucian Bode, was involved, is related to the “maneuvers of natural tricksters, of pythencanthropes with hard carts” that “cannot bear to interfere with stupidity.” The journalist was not convinced by any of the arguments presented by the minister, but he is convinced that there will be no consequences, because everything is more related to a mentality rooted in 30 years.
“There are several questions that any citizen, whether a driver or passenger or simply a pedestrian in this country, can ask himself. These questions were not asked by Mr. or Prime Minister Orban or President Iohannis, much less answered.
A first question: how was it that Mr. Bode, when were both the acoustic signal and the light signal, that is, the beacon and the siren of the respective SPP car on? All the dogs in town were to no avail, this car passed like a Christmas tree in midsummer, rattling with rattles, how can you tell you’re sleeping ?! Maybe I have special training, yes, to sleep in such conditions in broad daylight, by the way.
So why did the beacon and the siren go off? What special mission Mr. Minister, where was he going? In the case of Mr. Oprea, a few years ago, we know what was the objective of the special mission in which policeman Bogdan Gigină died: it was a potbelly soup! That is the goal, not to be cold. In this case, what kind of food was the target? (He wanted to arrive at the Government at 20:00, according to Mr. Bode – no.) It was not a special situation, because as far as we know nothing special was announced in this country at that time. Or Mr. Bode said that at 20:00, requested by the SPP member, it was perfectly reasonable for normal driving. And then why did the SPP member have to set the siren, turn on the traffic light, and break many traffic rules? As it did? It is about the maneuvers of natural tricksters, of pythencanthropes with hard carts, who do this: when they collide with a column they enter in the opposite direction, of course with a speed much higher than the legal one, they pass without knowing it, without visibility, they enter blind in curves, because they can’t stand to mix with fools, with stupidity! That’s what this situation is about, ”said Cristian Tudor Popescu, Friday night, on Digi24.
Why Minister Bode was a few days late with the explanations
The incident occurred on Monday, and Minister Bode arrived only on Friday with the explanations.
“It was expected that these days the subject would die from the media point of view. Since he did not pass away, it was considered that he had gained enough media outlets to annoy, heading into the next elections, and then the minister came to apologize. The minister says he had no right to tell the SPP driver how to drive. But could you tell him that he had no right to break the law? If the minister saw a car in traffic doing what the car it was in did, was he obliged to call 112 and then the police and warn about that car? In this case, the car that put people’s lives in danger was the car he was in. In the end, he had to order the SPP member: Lord, obey the law! If not, stop the car, get out, call your boss for another driver and another car, and call the police to act. Couldn’t you do that? Is that what Mr. Bode is trying to tell us on the third day after scripture? In my opinion, nothing works with the minister’s arguments, just like the justifications offered by Mr. Iohannis don’t work“Said Cristian Tudor Popescu.
Mr Iohannis’ justifications don’t work
“The president said that a comparison cannot be made between the Oprea case and the Bode case. Why? Because in Oprea’s case, a policeman died and nobody died here. Well, before that, Mr. Iohannis used to say that he was lucky that no one was seriously injured. Well, if it was luck, it turns out that all the conditions were met for someone else to die, as Bogdan Gigină died. Only luck prevented someone from dying! Therefore, the president’s argument is null and void.
Second: Mr. Bode did not have an official column, he was only in this one SPP car. Here I ask you: to despise people, peers, because that is what it is about, (…) show that arrogance, that contempt for peers, more cars and motorcycles are needed. ? Not enough with one? That’s what I would ask Mr. Iohannis, ”CTP continued, specifying that the place where the incident occurred is the Dealu Negru area, which all drivers know: a nuisance.
„It is simply a matter of refusing to interfere with the stupidity that circulates hard, wearily, in the spine, but regularly, of refusing, simply because you are a minister and you have to ignore, because you have business, you are important, not because you have a mission “commented the journalist.
The madness of the beacon in the 90s
Do dignitaries need cars with traffic lights and passing traffic? CTP is definitely: NO.
“In the vast majority of cases, 99.99 percent, these are signs of exercising power for the sake of power. In 30 years of journalism, I have not seen any case that justifies such maneuvers. Instead, I remember the 90s. the madness of the beacon, which touched everyone, including civilians, who wanted to give that feeling, this impression of power, of strength, of being above others. It was a fight, they got approvals to put a traffic light on their car X, Y, one who was a businessman, another who was I don’t know what athlete, they all wanted to have a traffic light in the car. That’s what it’s all about and it always has been, “said the journalist.
Minister Bode will suffer nothing
CTP believes that Minister Bode will not suffer anything, because “Mr. Prime Minister. The Prime Minister of Romania assures the person Bode that he is okay. This is an argument: I guarantee it! In front of the law and the equality of citizens in front of the law, the Prime Minister arrives and he says yes, sir, I guarantee it, I know him, he is a good boy, he is my friend, he is my minister in the government So it’s okay, leave him alone, ”said the journalist.
“Here’s the problem: as long as this is the treatment – remember what happened to Oprea, he was finally tried, but he was not convicted, he saw him go to prison or have criminal consequences. ? He would not have been tried if the political power he was in had not fallen at the time. Otherwise he didn’t have much trouble either. So while dignitaries are treated in this way, above the rest of citizens, we will continue to have this type of situation ”, CTP score.
“Does anyone think this SPP driver did this, he drove like this for the first time in his life and career? Clearly this is a habit of this SPP ins, because he’s from SPP! He didn’t suddenly have that style of drive and behave ”, adds the journalist.
Last but not least, CTP notes, the incident is a negative example, encouraging such behaviors in the future. “Think how many of those tough pitecanthropists, who do exactly that, the natural tricksters, who also saw the sequences, see and hear this story with the minister, how encouraged they will still feel to continue, to make me do the same! “- draws the attention of CTP. “Minister Bode and his driver did a bit of education,” said Cristian Tudor Popescu sarcastically.
The mystery of the CTP police cap
The journalist’s intervention via Skype on Digi24 was also marked by a more relaxed moment. In the context of the discussion about dignitaries, traffic rules and police, the journalist Claudiu Pândaru noticed behind Cristian Tudor Popescu a police cap placed on a shelf.
“I did Skype before and she was still there, but they didn’t take her into account. This cap is a Bulgarian police cap, something like that is for sale in Bulgaria and it was brought to me by my boys, who were traveling in Bulgaria about two years ago. or three years and they brought me this Bulgarian police cap from there. “That’s it,” explained CTP amused.
