Interior Minister Marcel Vela announced on Dig24 Friday night that the proposed action plan for the post-May 15 period will be released to the public, who may also present possible improvement proposals. The Minister referred to the possibility of maintaining the declaration under his own responsibility, to the fines after May 15, but also to the companies’ return to work program with more than 50 employees.
When asked if the statement on his own responsibility will continue after May 15, the interior minister replied that this is still being discussed in the committee that is preparing measures to relax the restrictions.
“We are still discussing whether and under what conditions our own responsibility declaration will be necessary,” Marcel Vela told Digi24.
He said the same about the possibility of leaving the town: “It will be possible to leave the town under certain conditions, which will be specified in the decision of the National Committee for Emergency Situations.”
He added that fines will be imposed for violating future rules.
“The measures will also have sanctions, based on the laws that sanction non-compliance with the measures introduced by the Emergency Situations Committee,” the minister also specified.
Marcel Vela added in this context that the CCR decision by which the fines granted on the basis of military ordinances were declared unconstitutional “affects Romania”.
“Those who protect people’s health no longer have coercive tools,” said the minister.
Regarding the concrete measures that will be taken, Marcel Vela announced that his list will be made public, so that people become familiar in advance and present possible proposals for improvement.
The Minister gave some examples of beauty salons, which must be equipped with hygiene materials and comply with the separation measures.
In addition, companies with more than 50 employees, where the world will return to work, will have to change their hours.
“If a company has 60 employees, 20 will come at 7:00, 20 at 8:00 and 20 at 9:00, so as not to put pressure on public transport,” gave an example Marcel Vela.
