Despite looking like a 6-year-old iPhone, the new iPhone SE has a powerful chipset and price tag that will certainly make it attractive to many.
The iPhone SE, the second edition, uses the design of the iPhone 8, which in turn followed the building principles of the iPhone 6, a phone released in 2014. It has wide frames under and above the screen, keeping the Touch ID system in the bottom.
The 4.7-inch smartphone will be available with 64/128/256 GB of storage, in three colors: white, black, and red. All three variants will be based on the A13 Bionic chipset, the same chip found on the iPhone 11.
With a single 12MP camera, the photo doesn’t appear to be the strength of the new smartphone, though Apple says the chip will be used to combine information from multiple photos into one (Smart HDR).
Otherwise, most of the components should be the same as those used in the iPhone 8, and the autonomy, although the battery capacity has not yet been reported, should be similar.
The new smartphone supports Wi-Fi 6, Gigabit LTE, and dual SIM (a normal SIM and an eSIM).
As with other iPhones, a free subscription to Apple TV Plus will be included for one year.
Prices start at $ 399 for the 64GB version. The 128GB model will cost $ 449, and the 256GB version can be purchased for $ 549.
The new iPhone SE can be reserved from April 17 and deliveries will be made from April 24.
