- In Romania, 229,040 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) were confirmed.
- 163,852 patients were declared cured.
- There were 6,481 new cases of SARS – CoV – 2 people infected
- Between 10/28/2020 (10:00 AM) and 10/29/2020 (10:00 AM) 83 deaths were reported
- 36,169 tests were performed in the last 24 hours

COVID-19 Romania. How many deaths have been reported
To date, 6,764 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 28.10.2020 (10:00) – 29.10.2020 (10:00), 83 deaths (52 men and 31 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău , Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Braşov, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Galaţi, Giurgiu, Harghita, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedinţi, Mureş, Olt, Prahova, Bucharest, Sibiu.
- 5 deaths were recorded in the category 40-49 years
- 6 deaths in the age group 50 to 59 years
- 18 deaths in the age group 60-69 years
- 28 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years
- 26 deaths in the category of over 80 years
81 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

Coronavirus – Romania. The situation of people admitted to Intensive Care (ATI)
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 10,975. Of these, 868 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,169,978 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,169 were carried out in the last 24 hours:
- 22,182 based on the case definition and medical protocol
- 13,987 upon request
On the territory of Romania:
- 27,834 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home
- 10,602 people are in institutionalized isolation
- 52,185 people are quarantined at home
- 51 people are in institutionalized quarantine
In the last 24 hours, 3,025 calls have been registered to the single emergency number 112 and 953 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially to inform the public.
Coefficient of infections accumulated during 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants
The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates.
* Correction: The Bucharest Public Health Directorate rectified the incident related to yesterday, 10.28.2020, which was erroneously reported to the CNCCI, due to a drafting error. Thus, the index in the case of the municipality of Bucharest for October 28, 2020 was 3.49 ‰ and not 3.81 ‰ as originally reported.

- 5,343 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been reported

Between 27.10.2020 (10:00) – 28.10.2020 (10:00) 107 deaths were reported (60 men and 47 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bistriţa- Năsăud, Botoşani, Braşov, Călăraşi, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Covasna, Dolj, Galaţi, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mureş, Olt, Prahova, Sălajcea, Sibiuş and Timirest, Suvarest.

- 1 death was recorded in the age category 0-9 years
- 2 in the age group 30-39 years
- There were 7 deaths in the category 40-49 years
- 17 deaths in the 50-59 age group
- 16 deaths in the age group 60-69 years
- 38 deaths in the age group 70-79 years
- 26 deaths in the category of over 80 years.
100 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and 6 deceased patients so far, no comorbidities have been reported.

To date, 3,133,809 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,815 were carried out in the last 24 hours:
- 22,641 according to the case definition and medical protocol
- 14,174 on request
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 468 tests processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until October 28 have been reported.
