Romania registered 3,252 of cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, from 8,059 processed evidence. According to the latest assessment, they are hospitalized in intensive care 1,289 of patients in serious condition. In the last 24 hours, 109 deceased.
The positive rate thus exceeds 40%.
To date, 559,587 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania. 460,780 patients were declared cured.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 13,494 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV 2 infection have died.
The total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,379. Of these, 1,289 are hospitalized in intensive care.
To date, 4,436,130 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 8,059 were performed in the last 24 hours, 6,250 according to case definition and medical protocol, and 1,809 on request.
In Romanian territory, 42,741 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 12,222 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 65,168 people are in home quarantine and 137 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,684 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.
On December 13, the police and gendarmes applied 6,775 penalties for minor offenses, worth 1,556,758 lei. Likewise, it was found that the crimes frustrated the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
