1,825 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours and 71 deaths. The number of patients admitted to ATI remains around the threshold of 1,000.

To date, on January 31, in Romania, 728,743 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

674,594 patients were declared cured.

To date, 18,335 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 30.01.2021 (10:00) – 31.01.2021 (10:00) 71 deaths were reported (33 men and 38 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Bihor, Brăila, Botoșani, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Sălaj, Sibiu, Satu Mare, Suceava, Timiș, Vaslui, Vâlcea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 4 deaths in the age group 50 to 59 years, 18 deaths in the age group 60 to 69 years, 26 deaths in the category of age 70 to 79 years and 20 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

69 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 7,763. Of these, 997 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 5,443,737 RT-PCR tests and 118,111 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 12,200 RT-PCR tests were performed (6,417 according to case definition and medical protocol and 5,783 on request) and 2,935 rapid antigen tests.

In Romania, 39,789 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 10,355 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 57,242 people are quarantined at home and 141 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,509 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on January 30, 6,041 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,185,565 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 5 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 7,994 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,000 in Italy, 1,865 in Spain, 187 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France, 3,115 in Germany , 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 7 in Sweden, 131 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia , 37 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 2 in Bulgaria, 12 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 13 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Singapore, Slovenia, Russian Federation and Croatia. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 149 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 23 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 4 have died in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 1 in the United States, 1 in Brazil, 1 in the Republic of the Congo, 1 in Greece and 1 in Iran.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
