1,333 new cases, 42 deaths

The number of coronavirus cases in Romania has risen to 111,550, after reporting new cases, according to data provided today by the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

At the same time, until now 89,119 of the patients were declared cured.

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 665 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 4,402 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died. Between 18.09.2020 (10:00) and 19.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 42 deaths (21 men and 21 women). All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 6,996. Of these, 461 they are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, at the national level, there have been 2,210,071 tests. Of these 23,030 14,305 were carried out in the last 24 hours based on the case definition and medical protocol and 8,725 upon request.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 1,118 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until September 19 have been reported.

In Romania, 11,845 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 6,013 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 38,818 people are quarantined at home, and there are 7 people in institutionalized quarantine.
