This version will be identical to the others and will have a cross-platform game with all platforms. Existing players on Steam, and all existing platforms for that matter, will continue to receive full support for future updates and features.
Regarding Legacy status, any player who has played Rocket League before moving on to free play will earn the following;
- All Rocket League brand DLC released before free-to-play
- Title “Est. 20XX” showing the year the player started playing Rocket League
- More than 200 common elements updated to “Legacy” quality
- Golden Cosmos Boost
- Dieci-Gold Wheels
- Huntress Player Banner
Also, any player who played Rocket League before today’s announcement will receive the Faded Cosmos Boost. This item, and all of the above, will be awarded to player accounts when Rocket League is free.
Rocket League, which was on our list of best PS4 games for 2020, was one of the free PlayStation Plus games in July 2015, and has only gained popularity since then.
