Prince of Persia Remake Leaks Online

After numerous rumors over the years, it would appear that a remake of Prince of Persia is leaking online. The leak comes through a store listing at Guatemalan retailer Max, which apparently released a Prince of Persia remake for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It seems to be scrubbing since the retailer’s site page, but the internet never really forgets and the screenshots of the ads make the rounds. Although nothing has been officially announced about the existence otherwise, the ads contained something interesting: an estimated release date of November 2020.

At this point, the most recent video game is Prince of Persia from Ubisoft 2010s Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. The 2010 title was notable for returning to the timeline and Prince founded in 2003’s The Sands of Time to 2008’s Prince of Persia went in another direction. While there is no telling what the leaked game might be a remake of, it seems fair to speculate that it would return The Sands of Time instead of the 2008 game.

At this point, it does not say when Ubisoft may announce a new Prince of Persia. But if the store listing is accurate, and that “November 2020” is more than just a placeholder, it looks like it will be sooner rather than later.
