See, we normally treat product listings published by Guatemalan retailers with a shrug of our shoulders, but as reputable journalists like Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier remark – well, you need to pay some attention, right? Here’s the story: MAX has released a page for a PlayStation 4 game called Prince of Persia Remake. Interestingly, the logo appears from the reboot of the PS3 era, but that may be placeholder.
In fact, we assumed the whole thing was F * ckingNothing.gif, until the named author noticed the following comment Twitter: “Video game retailers know for sure that Ubisoft is leaking its surprising announcements.” If another user replies that they do not believe the game is real, he added: “This tweet will not get old enough.”
Schreier is a trusted writer who is well placed to have information about Ubisoft projects in development. We know the French publisher will be launching some sort of Ubisoft Forward livestream later this year, so this seems like a likely candidate for that. Exactly what the title will mean, however, remains to be seen. Is it a remake of the original, like the aforementioned 2009 title? It sounds like everything will be revealed soon.
