There is a new and very promising trend that we have witnessed in recent months. Various tuning companies have unveiled amazing adventure machines based on the Porsche 911, including the Ruf Rodeo and KMR Safari 911. Now there’s another amazing example of a road-ready 911 coming from Delta4x4’s German tuners, “Bavaria’s All Terrain Specialist”.
People at the company say they have been inspired by the triumphs of the Dakar rally and the Porsche Pharaoh of the 1980s to design this unique Porsche 911. It’s from the 992 generation and is a Carrera 4S specification, rather than a perfect foundation for what should become a capable Off-Road Machine.
Delta4x4 received a call from a local businessman in Germany who had a very specific request. He wanted the studio to turn his new 911 Carrera 4S into an adventure machine that can be easily carried from Germany to Dakar, essentially recreating the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally. We bet this is exactly what tuning specialists wanted to hear.

So far, there are only a handful of renderings that preview the final product. However, we like what we see: There is a specially designed light bar along with a custom roof bar for a true off-road look. More importantly, a new reinforced chassis with 250mm ground clearance should provide good off-road capabilities.

Judging from the information available so far, the Delta4x4 project is still in the early stages of development. The company says that everything should be revealed next year and we can’t wait to see the finished SUV. It will be interesting to see if the visual and suspension adjustments will be accompanied by a powertrain upgrade to bring the power above the current level of 444 horsepower (331 kilowatts).
