Pelosi said on ABC “This Week” that Trump “wants to ignore any charges against Russia” after the Denied White House a Friday New York Times report that he and Vice President Pence were informed of the rewards. The president in a tweet early Sunday also denied having been informed of the reported rewards.
The Times report, citing White House officials, said that Trump and Pence were informed that Russian operatives offered payments to Taliban-linked militants in Afghanistan to kill coalition forces, including US troops. He also said that the National Security Council held a meeting on the subject in March.
“This is as bad as it gets, and yet the president will not confront the Russians at this point, he denies having been informed,” Pelosi said Sunday.
“I don’t know what the Russians have about the president, politically, personally, financially or whatever, but he wants to ignore it, he wants to bring them back to the [Group of Eight] despite the annexation of Crimea and the invasion of Ukraine, “he added.
If US intelligence officials were aware of the rewards and Trump was not informed, “what does that say about the concern those who reported to the president about not approaching Russia’s problem with this president?” Pelosi asked
“Whether it is or not, his administration knows it,” spokesman Pelosi says when the White House denies that Trump has been informed.

When pressed about her claims that Russia has information about the president, she said, “How … if you would not explain your refusal to match, ignore over and over again the intelligence right on Russia’s doorstep? “
“Now he says it is fake news,” he added. “Why would you say that? Why wouldn’t you say, let’s take a look at it and see what this is?
