WASHINGTON, DC (VG) America’s election thriller is coming to an end. Joe Biden warns that he will give a speech Saturday night, while Donald Trump warns him not to declare victory.
Presidential candidate Joe Biden announced on Friday that he will speak to the nation during so-called “prime time” in the United States. This probably means that you will speak between 02:00 and 05:00 on Saturday night Norwegian time.
It is not known what Biden will say in the speech, or if he will declare himself the winner of the election.

Voting still takes place on Friday night Norwegian time in several major states with tip, and major US media have not announced Biden as the winner of the election.
Biden’s supporters, who VG gathered in Washington DC on Friday, have already started celebrating, even though the election has yet to be fully decided:
Before Biden’s speech, US President Donald Trump wrote on Twitter that the opposition candidate should not make an unwarranted claim to the presidency.
– I could have done that too, write more, adding that the fight in the judicial system is just underway.
Trump has previously said that he believes he is the rightful winner of the election and declared victory on election night in several states before the vote count was complete.

The president has made repeated complaints of electoral fraud, without providing evidence. On Friday night he repeated these accusations in a speech that provoked strong reactions from various sectors.
– There is no defense for the president’s statements tonight, they undermine our democratic process. The United States counts the votes and we must respect the results as we have always done before. No choice or person is more important than our democracy, Maryland Republican Governor Larry Hogan wrote on Twitter.
Several American television channels also chose to stop the live broadcast of the speech.
In a new statement on Saturday night, Trump reiterated allegations that something strange was happening in several states, which has been rejected by state electoral authorities.
– I led a lot in all these states on election night, before it miraculously disappeared as the days passed. Perhaps the leadership will return when our legal battle continues, the president writes.

Several of the votes that remain to be counted after election night are the so-called mail ballots. The president has repeatedly asked his own voters not to vote by mail, and many of these votes are, as expected, Democratic.
