Reality star Nathan “Nate” Kahungu and his dance partner Helene will return to the competition after voting problems during Saturday’s broadcast.

Several viewers announced on Saturday night that it was not possible to vote on TV 2’s website during yesterday’s “Skal vi danse” broadcast, where referee favorite Nathan Kahungu withdrew from the competition.

According to Jan-Petter Dahl, TV 2 press manager, the cause of the problem is the capacity of the voting system on the TV 2 website.

– Yesterday there was record interest. We have never received as many votes over the Internet as yesterday, Dahl told VG on Sunday afternoon.

Spectators say it was not possible to vote during the duel “Shall we dance?”

Dahl says that the SMS voices worked normally, but that the problems arose online.

– There should never be uncertainty about the polls on TV 2. So today we decided that Nate and Helene have another chance next Saturday, says Dahl.

Next broadcast, there will be two couples leaving the dance program.

Many have wondered if there has been a romance between dance partners Nate and Helene, here the speculations answer:

– It’s hard not to get a vote for the family.

Sandra (25) was one of those who sat at home in the living room with the family and watched tonight’s broadcast. When it was time to duel, everyone on the couch tried to vote for their favorite, to no avail.

– None of us could vote. We test online and with various browsers. Some got a vote, but it was incorrectly recorded. You were supposed to vote for a person once, but all three votes were recorded in the same place, Sandra said.

Nathan “Nate” Kahungu’s family also struggled to vote for him from home.

– It is uncomfortable when you cannot vote for the family, especially when we see that it has so much potential, Brother Raymond Levi Kahungu (17) told VG.

«Nate»: – I was surprised

This weekend the stage was set for a night of adventure in “Skal vi danse” and dance partners Nathan “Nate” Kahungu and Helene Spilling had to go out to duel Michael Andreassen and Ewa Trela.

The duel broke records, host Anders Hoff said just after the vote. In the end, it was Kahungu who had to leave “Skal vi danse”, to the surprise of many.

Shortly after the broadcast, Kahungu told VG that it was all a shock.

“I don’t know if I was allowed to say I’m surprised, but it wasn’t expected in the way I would smoke or end up in a duel,” he said.
