Last year’s experience of terror against PSV Eindhoven is not part of Åge Hareide’s preparations for Thursday’s Europa League playoff.
– I think we should bury that match, says the Rosenborg coach before the broadcast of the VG + match (the match starts at 19.00).
The 1-4 defeat at Lerkendal gave the following title in VG: Rosenborg attacked with loose powder and was retired: – Embarrassing.
RBK will now assemble a completely different team. Probably only André Hansen and Samuel Adegbenro of the starting eleven remain that bad night a year ago.

– Rosenborg beat Ajax in 2017. So is it a good idea to beat PSV in 2020?
– Would have been fun. Then Norway will start to be better than Holland.

Rosenborg won by sheer luck when Zachariassen scored both in Ålesund on Sunday. The trio of umpires admitted after RBK’s win that they had tricked AaFK into scoring at 1-1 in the second half. The defeat could have been decisive in the match.
The RBK manager had no trouble admitting that the last 45 minutes were bad at Color Line Stadium.
– Too restless with the ball. We give it away too often, Hareide says. But he highlights that it is still an important quality to win.
– You should never underestimate victories, he says.
But he guarantees that the poor quality against the bottom of the Eliteserien will not be repeated against PSV:
– You will see a completely different team on Thursday.
