Twice last week, President Donald Trump called Bryan Cutler, the majority leader of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. In talks, he is said to have asked what could be done with the outcome of the elections in the state.

The Washington Post reports.

The office of Republican Bryan Cutler, who heads the state legislature, confirms that the talks took place.

The president said, “I heard about all these problems in Philadelphia and these problems with their law. What can we do to fix it?” Cutler’s spokesman Michael Straub told the newspaper, adding that Cutler responded that he and the rest Congress had no power to override the result.

For the AP news agency, Straub says that Trump did not pressure Cutler to do anything, and that the conversation was to obtain information.

The White House declined to comment on the case, writes the Washington Post.

Joe Biden has been named the winner in Pennsylvania, where he received 50 percent of the vote to 48.8 percent for Trump. This means that all 20 state voters, under the plan, will vote for Biden as their candidate on December 14.

According to a source the AP has spoken to, Trump in the conversation has tried to get Cutler to replace Biden’s voters with voters loyal to himself.

That is, 538 voters from all 50 states formally designate the next president of the United States. These are designated after the election result has been approved in each state and the winner obtains all the electors in the state.

VG has previously discussed this procedure as the president’s last hope.

Pennsylvania is the third state where Trump is said to have tried to intervene to change the election results since his opponent Joe Biden was announced as the winner of the election by the US media.

Did you bring it with you? Trump called the governor of Georgia

He is said to have previously communicated with elected officials in Michigan, and last week the Washington Post reported that Trump is said to have called Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp. In the conversation, it is said that he asked to call a meeting and convince state legislators to reverse Joe Biden’s victory.

Trump and his election campaign have also gone to court to challenge election results in several states, to no avail, including Pennsylvania.

During a hearing on the results of the state elections in late November, the President of the United States drew attention with a phone call:

The president’s attack on the presidential elections has caused concern in several states. This weekend, Georgia Chief of Staff Gabriel Sterling said more people working in the elections are experiencing threats and harassment, pointing to Trump’s rhetoric as part of the reason.

– It must stop. Mr President, you have not condemned the language or the actions. This must end. We need you to stand out, and if you want to be a leader, you have to lead, he said in a speech quoted by The New York Times.

When the President of the United States visited Georgia the next day, he still claimed that he was the “real” winner of the election. These accusations have been rejected by the electoral authorities and by various courts.

– All the swing states that we are fighting for now, I won by a wide margin. If he had lost, he would have been a good loser. I had recognized it. Then I went to Florida and took life in stride. But it cannot be accepted when they rob us, manipulate and steal the election, he said, among other things, from the Valdosta rostrum.
