The case is being updated!

Vickhoff Lie had an ugly rotation and slid down before finally ending up in the safety net.

The 22-year-old could be heard screaming in pain after the fall.

– That leg didn’t look good. It hurts to sit here. Please, producer, move that camera, says NRK expert commentator Audun Grønvold on the broadcast.

– It just ends up on an indoor ski and then there’s a violent round launch and the skis don’t fall off There were terrible images to see, says Grønvold.

Vickhoff Lie was quickly inspected on the way and after just over 20 minutes she was picked up by helicopter and transported off the ground.

Krone Zeitung writes that the Norwegian has been transported by helicopter to the hospital.

In the goal area, her teammate Ragnhild Mowinckel could also be seen taking care of her head. The race was stopped for 30 minutes before it finally started again. The race came to a halt again after Austrian Rosina Schneeberger fell and slid down for several seconds before she too ended up in the safety net.

Like Vickhoff Lie, the skis were not launched. After just over 20 minutes, the Austrian was taken off the runway by helicopter. The race is now on again.

The Norwegian team has been hit hard by injuries this season. Previously, Lucas Braathen, Atle Lie McGrath and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde had suffered serious knee injuries.

Vickhoff Lie has made a major international breakthrough this season with six places in the top six in speed disciplines, with a World Cup second place at Garmisch-Partenkirchen in January as the best result. At the World Cup, he dropped to fifth place in super-G.
