In this week’s edition of “Star Wars,” artists will sample pop and Eurovision classics. VG continually reviews the night’s performances.

Melodi Grand Prix is the theme of the second edition of the Star Wars season. On Saturday’s broadcast, the first contestant of the year blows up – the one with the fewest votes in total after the first two shows can’t join.

Tonight, MGP veteran Hanne Krogh and self-proclaimed MGP blood fan Kevin Vågenes are guest judges on the show. The two will sit on the panel alongside the season’s only regular judge, Mona B. Riise.

Hanne Krogh has also acted as a mentor to the artists at MGP’s pre-show rehearsals.

– Everyone will give the iron, and have chosen such a wide range of songs, Krogh boasts of the participants.

At the season premiere last Saturday, artists were allowed to perform songs of the genre in which they usually perform, at that time no contestant should be excluded from the program.

Ingeborg Walther, Knut Marius Djupvik and Vegard Bjørsmo topped the list of those who received the most votes last week.

Bjørsmo was also named a favorite by judges Maria Mena, Stian “Staysman” Thorbjørnsen and Mona B. Riise.
