Truls Svendsen recounts her father’s death in the latest episode of “Truls & Hellstrøm – Mouth Filled”.
The popular duo Truls Svendsen and Eyvind Hellstrøm have entertained Norwegian households for several years with the television series “Truls ala Hellstrøm”.
Earlier this year, they also started the podcast “Truls & Hellstrøm: Fill Your Mouth”, where the comedian and head chef has shared everything from food inspiration to everyday things.
Since May, they have recorded one episode a week, but after October 5, everything went quiet.
On Monday, however, they came back with a new episode, where Svendsen was able to share sad news.
– It is the case that there are some things that we do not control in this life, unfortunately and very sad, it begins.
Svendsen says that he and Hellstrøm were going to film an episode when he had to get on a plane to Tromsø.
– My father became very ill and, unfortunately, passed away about two weeks ago.
They have been asked a lot of questions about why there hasn’t been a new episode, and Svendsen says it’s not “just” to say that his father passed away.
– Of course it is very heavy and sad to lose a man you love, but it must also be said that his father was quite ill at the end. And on top of that, if I may say so, I’m kind of glad he didn’t have to lie there and feel more pain. Because he had, he says.
VG has been in contact with Svendsen, who says it’s okay for VG to play the podcast content.

It tells of a father who was slowly lost in recent years due to illness.
– It has always been a diffuser of humor. It has been joke after joke and a lot of joy. It was a little difficult to see that he was a little behind. Now he was in so much pain and pain, it was almost a little good to see him not feeling pain.
Svendsen also takes the opportunity to make an invitation.

– I knew him before he passed away, and I could also say that I loved him. We weren’t very good at telling each other that, but I pushed it forward. I think he probably appreciated it.
He thinks that a lot of people regret the things they weren’t allowed to say when you lose someone close.
– You should always remember to tell your loved ones that you really love them, he says.
His partner Hellstrøm agrees.
– What we must never forget is that life is just a loan, says Hellstrøm.
