Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen (33) used hard physical training as a way to suck out mental pain after her brother Sten Anders took his own life.
She ended with a real bang. This is what cross-country skiers say on the NRK talk show “Lindmo” on Friday night, writes NRK. The program will air at. 21.45.
Last week, the medical student told her she was quitting as a top-notch skier.
In “Lindmo”, she talks about how she reacted after the suicide of her brother, who met during the Sochi Olympics in 2014. When he returned home, he tried to numb the mental pain of hard training.

– There and then it felt good. Looking back, there were probably several reasons. Among other things, it was an Olympic village protected from the outside world and from the media. It was safer to be there and says a lot about what kind of family sports can be for you. I also knew there was no sick rent. There was nothing he could do at home.
