Twitter hides Trump’s tweet on immunity

On Sunday night, Twitter hid a message from the president of the United States in which he claimed he was immune to the coronavirus.

The reason they hide the message from Twitter is that they believe it violates company rules to spread misleading and potentially harmful information.

– A full and complete recovery of the doctors in the White House yesterday. That means I am immune and I can’t go on Very good to know !!, Trump wrote in the tweet that was pointed out by the company.

Internet giant Twitter recently announced that in the run-up to the November 3 elections, they will heavily flag messages that come with false accusations with a warning.

Refused to reveal

– It seems that I’m immune, I don’t know, maybe for a long time, maybe for a short time. It can last a lifetime, no one really knows, but I am immune, Trump said in Sunday’s phone interview with Fox News.

White House doctors have repeatedly refused to say when Trump last tested negative for the virus, but the president’s doctor said the day before that he was no longer at risk of infection.

The extent to which corona infection implies immunity against future infections has not yet been determined.

On tour

Early studies suggested that one can become immune for a few months, while recent studies suggest that immunity can last longer. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes that a person recovering from a viral infection will generally be protected against a new infection, but noted in August the following:

– For covid-19, we do not yet have enough data to be able to confirm whether the antibodies protect, what levels of antibodies are required or how long the protection will last.

The president’s doctor did not say directly Saturday that Trump is healthy, or whether he tested negative for the coronavirus after falling ill.

Trump will travel to Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio next week on an election campaign tour.

Bidens koronatester

On Saturday, he gathered hundreds of supporters on the lawn in front of the White House as he spoke from a balcony.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump suggested that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden himself could get sick.

– He coughed a lot yesterday and grabbed his bandage while coughing. I don’t know what it was about, but it didn’t get a lot of media coverage, says Trump.

Biden’s camp has released the results of the former vice president’s daily coronation tests since Trump tested positive on Oct. 1.
