Krogstad is known as the owner of the Club 4 sex club in Trondheim. In 2002, he was sentenced to one year and four months in prison for pimping, the same as he is now charged with.

– We believe that it has mediated contact between prostitutes and buyers, says police inspector Per Morten Brobakke, in the Trøndelag police district.

They also believe that he may have made premises available for this business.

He doesn’t think he did anything wrong

The street magazine Sorgenfri wrote earlier this year that Kvinnegruppa Ottar had denounced Krogstad for pimping.

Brobakke in the police says that the current arrest takes place in connection with media coverage.

Krogstad defender Farhad Shæriæti says that Krogstad disagrees with the accusation.

– He does not admit criminal guilt, he tells NRK.

Shæriæti says they will now wait to see what they want to do next in the case to see what evidence he thinks the police have. Says Krogstad is affected.

– He has a family, that’s why it’s heavy for the client.

The police believe there is no danger of missing evidence in the case and Krogstad has been released. Police tell NRK that they have seized several locations in Trondheim and will investigate the case further.

Krogstad was sentenced in Trondheim city court in 2001 to prison for pimping and illegal consumption of alcohol. Krogstad appealed, but the Frostating Court of Appeal upheld the verdict.

In to interrogate

After Wednesday’s arrest, Krogstad has been questioned by the police. According to Adresseavisen, the alleged crimes occurred in a period of 2016 and / or 2018.

Police are still not sure if Krogstad will remain in custody.

– We will decide on this after the interrogation, emphasizes Brobakke to Adressa.no
