Conservative anti-Trump activists have erected large billboards over the president’s daughter and son-in-law in Times Square in New York. Now they are threatened with lawsuits.
One of the billboards shows Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter, smiling and with her hand pointing to the number of people killed by covid-19.
Another shows her husband, Jared Kushner, along with a statement that New Yorkers “are going to suffer and that’s their problem.”

The Lincoln Project is a group of political activists from the president’s own party, the Republicans. His goal is to get Democrat Joe Biden elected president, and his campaigns against Trump have been known to be forceful.

Embarrassing insult
New York attorney Mark E. Kasowitz has now sent a letter threatening the Lincoln Project with lawsuits if the posters are not removed.
– Of course, Mr. Kushner has never said anything like that; Em. Trump has never made such a gesture, and the presentation of the Lincoln project is outrageous and shameful libel, the letter says.
Furthermore, it calls the billboards “false, malicious and defamatory,” writes Reuters.

According to The New York Times, the quote is taken from a Vanity Fair article in which Kushner accused New York Governor Andrew Cuomo of not fighting hard enough to bring infection control teams to the city.
If the billboards are not removed immediately, the activists will be sued, Kasowitz says.
The Lincoln Project is not scared, saying that “empty threats will not be taken more seriously than we take Jared and Ivanka.”
In their response, they write that the couple Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump “have always been” “bullies” who have “no respect for the American people.”
– We plan to show them the same level of respect, says in the activists’ response.
