The United States does not join international cooperation on vaccines

The Trump administration says it’s partly because the World Health Organization (WHO) is involved.

Covax is led by WHO together with the Cepi and Gavi vaccine alliances. Cooperation will ensure that all countries receive doses of vaccines at the same time so that they can be distributed to the most severely affected population groups.

More than 170 countries are in talks to participate in the program. His supporters include several historic allies of the United States, including Japan, Germany and the European Commission. Norway has also joined.

“The United States will continue to work with our international partners to ensure that we fight the virus, but we will not be restricted by organizations affected by the corrupt WHO and China,” White House spokesman Judd Deere told the newspaper.
