Eirin Maria Kvandal (19) is on her way home to Norway, and the jumping kite calculates that the season is over.
– Most likely I have torn the cruciate ligament and damaged the meniscus, writes on Instagram.
– The season is probably over for me anyway.
Steinar Bjerkmann, spokesman for the national jumping team, reports the same:
– She thinks it is cruciate / meniscus ligament, but it has not been confirmed.
Kvandal writes that they will do an MRI as soon as he returns home to Trondheim.

Granerud characterized after the fall of Kvandal: – Really painful to watch
When Eirin Kvandal was going to make an impact after a solid second jump, the right knee on Austrian Hinzenbach failed this weekend.
From fourth-best he jumped enough to take the lead, but couldn’t stay upright and hit the ground. He landed at 88 meters, the third longest jump of the second round.
– It was really painful to watch. We have been training together all summer. When I saw the fall, I immediately realized that it could be serious, it looked like a cruciate ligament fall. Then I switched, put some music in my ear, and took a walk to get over it. I don’t think this is a great thing, said Halvor Egner Granerud, who saw the downfall before taking the win.
