The passenger plane made an emergency landing – parts fell from the sky

Just after United flight UA328 departed from Denver to Honolulu on Saturday night Norwegian time, the airliner with about 200 passengers on board experienced major engine problems.

Both passengers and people on the ground in Broomfield, a city outside Denver in Colorado, heard an explosion.

Then parts of one of the plane’s engines fell from the sky. Shocking photos of a neighborhood in Broomfield are now going around the world.

I had to make an emergency landing

One of the images of how much of the turbine engine has landed in a garden, just outside the front door of a house. The piece is round and relatively intact, and landed a few inches from the house’s windows.

After engine problems, the plane made an emergency landing and returned to Denver International Airport (DIA), the 9 News branch of NBC News reported.

– no one injured

Broomfield Police have asked people in the Broomfield neighborhood in question who have received airplane parts in their yards to report.

On Twitter, the police write that, surprisingly, there have been no reports of injuries.

They also ask people who find aircraft parts not to touch or move them because the US Accident Investigation Board is investigating the incident.
