British authorities are supposed to have given the green light to English football to restart the season.

As part of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s plan to reopen the country, British government forces have decided that he will be allowed to broadcast sports events behind closed doors early next month.
Premier League clubs have vowed to end the season one way or another, and that could mean that empty booth games are already starting in three weeks. Neutral pathways are also discussed, but there is no confirmation yet as to what the outcome will be.

But although the authorities should have given the green light, there are apparently many obstacles along the way before they can start again.
On Monday, representatives of the 20 Premier League clubs will meet to discuss what is known as a “project restart.”
The hope is that a protocol will be established with clear guidelines on how to complete the league and the remaining 92 games under the demanding current situation.
The plan is to start the league again on June 12.
Disputes between the clubs.
However, the problem is that many of the clubs do not agree with the initial plans.
The starting point is, among other things, that the remaining Premier League matches will be played in eight to ten selected neutral arenas, but the bottom teams in the league should be very negative for this.
At the same time, it is argued that even more players should fear being infected. On Sunday Brighton announced that several of its players tested positive for covid-19.
Recently, several clubs also expressed concern about the plans.
However, the Premier League bosses should have warned of the financial consequences a further delay could have for the league and the clubs.
Without spectators
With the green light on June 1, the pressure for a quick fix may increase for clubs.
Clubs and players are expected to need several weeks of training before a possible start-up, so start rushing if a solution is needed.
According to The Gaurdian, UEFA has given leagues in Europe until May 25 to decide whether to complete the season.
What is certain, however, is that the remaining Premier League matches can be played in empty spots.
At the same time that authorities allow the Premier League to start again, they also make it clear that there will be no spectators at major sporting events, for example. This is likely to apply by 2020.
