Several German media, including Kicker, write that Pernille Harder will become a Chelsea player. In London, the Danish goal machine will be reunited with his girlfriend Magdalena Eriksson. The two were teammates in Swedish Linköping from 2013 to 2017.

The amount of the transfer will be around 350,000 euros, which is equivalent to approximately 3.7 million NOK. Therefore, it will be the most expensive sale of a Bundesliga player in centuries.

Harder meets a brute force 68 league goals in 75 games for Wolfsburg. The 27-year-old basically has one year left on his contract with the great German club.

Earlier this summer, Harder said she wanted to play on the same team as her boyfriend again.

– I have a year left in Wolfsburg, but of course I hope to try something new and win new titles in another league, the star told Danish TV 2.

– It is clear that we miss each other in everyday life, so the plan is that we will play together again, at least after my contract expires, said Harder.

Now everything indicates that reunification will take place sooner. The transfer is expected to be confirmed after Sunday’s Champions League final.

The Swedish defender has also commented on the rumors earlier this year.

– There have been many rumors on Twitter about it. I don’t know exactly where he’s coming from, but it’s clear it would have been great to play with Pernille again, but it remains to be seen if it will be. There are many things that need to happen for that to happen, Eriksson told Aftonbladet this spring.

The story of the kissing photo
The couple became really famous in the football world when they took the famous kiss photo after the Sweden World Cup match against Canada in 2019. Harder was present in the stands to support his girlfriend and after the match he Kiss of victory was captured by a photographer. The image went viral and the story of the soccer couple became well known.

– We didn’t even know someone took the photo.

It was also striking that Danish Harder posed in the uniform of the Swedish national team. Otherwise, Denmark was not qualified for the championship. The attacker had to reassure the Danish fans after the images.

– What don’t you do for love? But you don’t have to worry, Denmark will always be at the forefront, he wrote on Twitter.

Harder has previously spoken about how the relationship with Eriksson came about towards Danish TV 2.

The two soccer players were teammates in Linköping, but it was some time before they got together. They were both in a relationship, but as they talked together, feelings for each other came through. And it was only when Harder arrived in Sweden that he realized he was attracted to women.

“It was only when I escaped, traveled to other settings, and experienced the world, that I discovered other aspects of myself,” Harder said.

– No one had thought he would be with a woman.

Get your girlfriend as captain
Eriksson is now the captain of the star-studded Chelsea team, which also has Norwegian elements with Maren Mjelde, Guro Reiten and Maria Thorisdottir.

Chelsea’s strong squad also includes international star players like Ji So-yun and Sam Kerr. On Saturday, Chelsea will start the season with a Community Shield deal against Manchester City at Wembley.

The Champions League final between Wolfsburg and Lyon will likely be Harder’s last match for the club.

The Germans have a chance to claim the third title of the season after winning both the series and the cup, but Lyon can be a tough nut to crack. Ada Hegerberg’s club has won the tournament four years in a row. Hegerberg is still injured, but Ingrid Syrstad Engen will probably start the final for Wolfsburg.
