Tens of thousands of players from various sports can re-prepare for organized contact training starting October 12. The parties have to wait.
Culture Minister Abid Raja has endured much criticism from frustrated players, leaders and enthusiasts during the crown closing. Now, however, he has gained a foothold to open up again to the training of many.
It came up during today’s government press conference.
– I have to thank the grassroots family who have been in a demanding situation, but have persevered. Broad-based sports for adults 20+ may reopen for normal training starting October 12, based on the sport’s own priority lists. It is your four-phase opening plan that is used as the basis.
It must be said that when we now want to open ourselves to around 23,000 in the grassroots sports family, it means that an infection can occur. Therefore, it is important that the municipality go ahead and shut down if there are local outbreaks, says Abid Raja.
– What has changed now?
– This has been considered several times before, but then there have been local outbreaks that have made it not justified to recommend releasing more. We have now received a recommendation that it is prudent to implement. At the same time, there will be variations in infection across the country. It is not certain that it will open in all municipalities. There, the municipalities must make an assessment, Raja tells VG.
Now it opens for phase 1. For soccer, it means street teams and adapted soccer, 2nd division, another female level and 4th level (male).

Authorities have set October 12 as the start date so that municipalities have time to prepare. At the same time, the authorities clarify that in municipalities and regions with greater contagion or local outbreaks, the opening must be considered and followed by local measures.
The authorities are not currently open for matches.
Subsequently, a decision will be made on the opening of phase 2.
On August 1, it was opened for all children’s and youth sports up to age 19. The elderly have had to wait patiently for their turn until now. The NFF has already canceled the 3rd division wide soccer season and down for men and 2nd division for women.
At the press conference, the Minister of Culture said that it is also open for up to 600 people at outdoor events. These will be divided into groups of up to 200 people.
