Sindre Nyeng (23) fell brutally down a spiral staircase and says he was unconscious for a few minutes before an ambulance picked him up and took him to hospital. – I was a little afraid that they would find out, he says.
On Sunday, he is ready for the third fall game at “Farmen”, and for the second week in a row there will be a girls’ match, after Tove Moss Lohne (35) was voted first champion on Wednesday. Thus, among others, Sindre Nyeng can already cover at least one more week on the farm.

What viewers do not know is that the “Farmen” contestant in the first weeks of filming was hampered by an injury he sustained shortly before filming began. Just over ten days earlier, he was at a party in Trondheim, where at night he took a wrong step and slipped down a spiral staircase to the ground floor, about fifteen feet.
– I was unlucky and fell down the stairs. It was some kind of metal hardware on the steps that made a hole in my head. I was unconscious for a short time, so the others decided to call an ambulance. I tried to take care of myself, but still got hit on the shoulder and hit my head on the steps on the way there, he tells VG.
Did you get this with you? Sanna Khursheed was the second person on “The Farm” and reacted to the clip that was not shown on TV:
The 23-year-old is said to have been transported by ambulance to St. Olav’s Hospital in Trondheim. According to Nyeng, he had to sew eight stitches on the head, in addition to getting a “shove” to the hip as well as a disjointed shoulder.
– The days that followed were not very pleasant, exactly, he admits.
There must have been eight people present when the accident occurred.

– How did the others who were there react?
– They were stressed. Especially when he was there unconscious. But they did everything right, they tried to contact me and called 113 and got professional experience. I woke up after a few minutes and asked them why they had called an ambulance. Then I was completely blue all over the left side of my body.
He believes that the fall could have ended much worse than it did.
– I was very lucky, really. When you hit your head like that, you can risk it all, so I’m glad it went as well as it did. At the same time, I was so happy to enter “La Granja” shortly after, and I remember sitting in the ambulance there and thinking that it would be difficult if the whistle blew.
Sindre Nyeng was allowed to leave the hospital that same night. Then he went to “The Farm” about ten days later.
– It was a stupid start to “The Farm”, because I felt good when I got there the first week. But it happened fast, after a couple of weeks I didn’t know anything about it. I felt it just a little in my head, a memory that I had fallen down a flight of stairs.
When VG met with all the participants the day before the shoot, Nyeng told VG that just over a week and a half earlier he had been seriously injured in the brutal fall. He also said that he had chosen to hide this from TV 2 and production company Strix, for fear of being kicked out of the show. He also confirms this after returning home from the farm in Hønefoss.
– Yes, I was afraid that the production and TV 2 would not have anyone injured. At the same time, there was nothing I wanted to say to the participants, because if they chose me as the first champion, it would be easy to win me by holding buckets of milk, for example. Fortunately, the scar on my head was not that visible then, but after a couple of weeks I told the other participants what had happened and they thought I was hysterical.
– Did you say that to the production too?
– No, I don’t think they ever told the production that this had happened, I didn’t feel the need to say it, because I finally felt healthy. They may have understood, but I figured it wasn’t a problem they should be worrying about anyway. But I must admit that I was a little scared that they would break in early and that’s why they didn’t want me. But perhaps it was an unwarranted fear, actually, Sindre Nyeng tells VG.
TV 2’s press manager, Jan-Petter Dahl, tells VG that the channel was unaware of the “Farmen” contestant’s injury when filming began.
– We didn’t know about this. Had we been familiar with the accident, we would have consulted with a doctor if he was justified in being involved, he tells VG.
