Pastor Thor Haavik saw that only two participants were in the “bedroom.” He suggested that they inform the production about the illegalities, but received little support. – He was very angry, he says.

On Tuesday, VG wrote that the production of “Farmen” will be closed for 24 hours after the participant Raynond Røskeland (36) in the middle of the day got drunk on the farm for television recordings, and after six participants the night above were in two separate cabins. nearby, where they consumed alcohol and food, borrowed phones and called loved ones.

A total of seven participants are said to have participated in the illegalities, which TV 2 takes very seriously in light of the ongoing corona pandemic. It was so serious that the entire production, and therefore many millions of crowns, was in jeopardy.

Participant Thor Haavik (26), who is a trained priest, was one of the few who did not participate in the field trips from the farm. Haavik tells VG that he reacted when he got drunk the night before at Røskeland, so only two other contestants were ready for bed. In addition, there were three rooms in the “great farmer’s attic”, so there were a total of five rooms left on the farm.

Put this on? The clip of the “farm” that was not shown on TV:

It later turned out that two participants had searched a nearby 70-year-old team, while four others were in a completely different booth.

– We understood that the people had left the farm. But I really thought there were only three people who had been on a cabin trip, it was only when production really started to wind down on this that they realized that it was actually the vast majority, Haavik tells VG.

He continues:

– I got really mad when I heard that people had been with other people, so I tried to insist that we had to end this. That we should tell the production about it. At least then everything continued.

– Was this something you raised in plenary or in individual conversations?

– When they got home at night, I told them that this didn’t really work. And that this was something we should talk about over breakfast the next day. And then I picked it up at the breakfast table. But then I thought it was only three pieces, and I was sure I would get most of it with me. But then it was only me who raised my voice. People were probably afraid of losing face in the group. I felt a bit of that, the 26-year-old admits.

The “farm” participant emphasizes that he was quite mild when he referred to the rapes. But he hoped for a collective zero tolerance consent to the same in the future.

– I suggested that we should vote if we should inform the production if this happens again. I said we could forget what had happened, but if there was a majority of us who wanted to finish it, then we would tell the production if it happened again. If he had just said that, there would have been gossip somehow. But here we were talking about seven pieces. Not many people wanted that solution.

– Did you just settle for the others?

– Yeah, and then this happened to Raymond the same day. But I’m very happy that it was resolved in the end and that TV 2 did a good job. After I found out that the group was very sorry, people got a wake-up call about how serious the production took it. It was a terrifying experience for everyone to walk for 24 hours without knowing if this would continue.

The participant of “Farmen” came fully to the television recordings in the middle of the day: – The production was surprised and cursed

Haavik makes no secret of the fact that there was a very “depressed” atmosphere on the farm when TV 2 and producer Strix found out what happened.

– Suddenly we think that everything could be in vain. It was a day there when we thought that maybe there would be nothing more “La Granja”. It was a huge relief when we found out that we could continue, he tells VG.

The program’s director on TV 2, Kathrine Haldorsen, explained the VG drama on Tuesday this way:

– We suspect that some of the contestants had been in contact with strangers at the beginning of the fourth week of production. Based on the information we had at the time, it was decided to stop production. At the same time, they were strictly informed that a prerequisite for restarting production was that they put all the cards on the table, so we received the information we needed to assess how much risk they had exposed themselves and the production to. And what measures should we implement, he said then.

It must have been Raymond Røskeland, Sindre Nyeng, Daniel Viem Årdal, Nils Kvalvik, Wiktoria Rønning, Kjetil Kirk and Tove Moss Lohne who participated in the illegalities.
