More NTNU students

Five of the infection cases concern NTNU students, NTNU reports in a press release.

The students are from different faculties and as a result, around 120 people have been quarantined. The number may increase in the next few days as infection monitoring continues.

The affected faculties are the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education and the Faculty of Humanities.

– Currently it is not relevant to close all or part of the campus, but we follow the development day by day, says Rector Anne Borg.

– I’m worried. Events are going in the wrong direction and now we must do everything possible to prevent the infection from spreading further. Everyone must follow the advice and orders of the infection control authorities and I hope that all students will sign in to the Check In system when they participate in physical education, or stay in common areas and group rooms, marked with QR codes, adds.
