Hertha Berlin player Salomon Kalou (34) is accused of further jeopardizing the start of the Bundesliga with a video of the gym, featuring, among others, Rune Almenning Jarstein and Per Ciljan Skjelbred. The 34-year-old is now suspended by the club.
The video was posted to Facebook on Monday before it was later removed. VG has viewed the content. Kalou films, among other things, players and support staff in Hertha who hold hands.
None of them should have known that Kalou had a live feed on social media. At the beginning of the clip, Kalou greets Skjelbred and Jarstein, who sit and talk in Hertha’s closet. He greets several people and movies that his teammate Jordan Torunhariga is being crown examined by medical personnel.
Jarstein has yet to respond to VG’s request in this matter.
– He has hurt not only himself, but the entire league. He’s totally an idiot, ”Dirk Krampe tells VG.
The German is editor of the Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper, located in the Borussia Dortmund area of Erling Braut Haaland.

Kalou’s video comes at the same time that German football is working hard to be allowed to resume game play in the upper two levels, based on a strict “crown plan” to which all clubs must adhere.
“Kalou’s scandalous crown film counteracts all efforts,” writes the German newspaper Kicker.
On Monday night, Hertha Berlin claims that Kalou has been suspended from training and combat operations with immediate effect.
– I am sorry that my behavior left the impression that I am not taking the crown seriously. I would like to regret this. The opposite is true, and I am particularly concerned about people in Africa who do not have access to a health system as good as in Germany. I didn’t think about it and was glad that all the tests were negative, says Kalou.

Awaiting the response from the authority
VG has previously referred to the work of the German League Association (DFL). President Christian Seifert has directed the work of making a plan that they have presented to the government.
Now they are waiting for a ready signal.
“What policy makers decide is crucial,” said Seifert.
On Monday afternoon, DFL expressed what they thought of Kalou’s findings via Twitter:
“The video of Solomon Kalou from Hertha’s closet is completely unstoppable. There is no tolerance for this, also for the good of the players and the club, who adhere to the guidelines because they have understood the gravity of the situation.”
The DFL has claimed that 13 of Germany’s 36 best clubs are at risk of failing to meet their financial obligations shortly if the situation persists.
! The players and support staff have carried out more than 1700 tests in the 36 clubs of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga last weekend. Ten of them were positive. Six of them are not reported where they originated, three are from 1. FC Cologne and one from Dynamo Dresden.
